The IEC Season 2024 is almost done, so applicants should submit their profiles without delay. IRCC plans to hold the final draw on approximately October 21, 2024, 

According to recent statements.Those who submit profiles prior to 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time on the 21st will be entered into the draw. New applications will no longer be accepted after that deadline. However, if an Individual is issued an ITA through the previous draws, they may still obtain a work permit.

In the Young Professionals category one has the possibility to apply for an employer specific work permit. They cannot be younger than 18 years old, and have a valid job offer from a Canadian employer who will help them fully develop their abilities and will employ the participant continuously during his or her stay in Canada.

What Happens If You Receive an ITA?

In case you receive an invitation to apply before the end of the season you can still apply for the work permit and submit the documents.

For the approved applicants, the processing time is five weeks of which each participant has an equal chance of travelling and working in Canada regardless of the season they applied for.
