How Candidates Can Apply
The invitations sent to the candidates on December 10 can now be applied to the stream where the invitations were received. Key timelines apply:
Review the stream requirements and document checklist.
Employers must submit the application for the approval of an employment position by January 5, 2026.
Candidates must log in to the OINP e-Filing Portal and submit their own application by January 8, 2026.
Applications are shown under a new created file number with a prefix of JOXX.
The previous Expression of Interest file number will be greyed and must not be taken into consideration.
OINP observes that invited applicants are not required to get in touch with the program itself.
Ontario still continues to use targeted draws to fill certain labour shortages instead of holding wide invitation rounds.
The province is projected to have a regulated, employer-based model all the way through 2026 as the Employer Portal requirement is fully realized and the regional selection becomes even more engrained under REDI.
The December 10 draws also indicate that Ontario is experiencing a long term demand of healthcare workers, early childhood educators, skilled trades professionals as well as food processing workers in both the largest urban centres of Ontario and the rural communities.
