New Ontario Express Entry draw sets the CRS score of 290-393

Ontario held a new Express Entry draw on 05-September-2024 for the candidates who fulfil the criteria of French Speaking Skilled Worker stream.

This draw invited 86 Express Entry profiles generated between September 5, 2023 –September 5, 2024.

They will be eligible to apply on September 5, 2024, providing they attained CRS score that ranges from 290 and 393.

An assessment of the number of invites shows that below 290 CRS score, there is quite a less build up in the Express Entry pool.

Applicants nominated under the OINP French-speaking Skilled Worker stream are entitled to claim their provincial nomination and in this way receive 600 additional CRS points if they meet the following OINP’s eligibility criteria:

This will greatly increase odds of being invited to apply for Canada’s permanent residency via the federal Express Entry system in the next draw.

Drop in CRS Scores for French-Speaking Workers

This draw is the third held under the OINP’s French Speaking Skilled Worker category for 2024, and takes the total provincial nominations this year to 1,282.

The scoring CRS range on the top was lower by 16 points as compared to the previous draw conducted in June and was 75 points lower in comparison to the similar draw held in January.

In addition, the cutoff score has again reduced to 15 points lower than the June draw and 27 points below the January one.

Pass English-French language test of the Citizenship and Immigration Canada with a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of no less than 7 in the French TCF/TEF Canada test.

Obtained English language proficiency test IELTS/CELPIP with a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level of 6.

Provide proof of settlement funds through bank statements- investment statements or employment income and it should show continuous work in Ontario.

Successful applicants should also be willing to live in Ontario evidenced by factors such as current or previous income from within the province, job offers within the province, ownership on property within the province or family or business connections within the province.

According to the data, up to September 2024, the OINP invited a total of 19,019 candidates through various Express Entry-associated classes.

The first draw of today is the lowest CRS score for these draws with the score set at 290.

Draw on 22nd August, 2024 under the Skilled Trades stream saw 1, 287 candidates being invited under different occupation types, barring any connection to agriculture, with CRS scores of 400 to 435.
