Documents required when creating an Express Entry profile
When creating your Express Entry profile for consideration in a draw, you will need the following documents:
A valid passport or travel document
Language test results: make sure your language test results are current or less than two years old.
Provide proof of Canadian education or an educational credential assessment report if any of the following apply to you:
Applying for the Federal Skilled Worker Program or claiming points for education outside of Canada?
If applicable, a provincial nomination
A written job offer from a Canadian employer is required, as is proof of work experience and a certificate of qualification in a trade occupation issued by a Canadian province or territory (if you have one)
Evidence of funds

If you are invited to participate in an Express Entry draw, you must include copies of the documents you used to create your profile.
The majority of applicants will also be required to submit the following documents:
Police Certificate: If you have lived in another country for more than six months, you will need a police certificate from that country as well as a police certificate from your home country.
Medical Exam: Applicants from within Canada are exempt from the medical exam requirement until October 6, 2024. If you are outside Canada, you will still need to undergo a medical examination.
Proof of Funds: You must demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to support yourself and any dependents.
Birth Certificate: If you have dependent children, you must have a birth certificate.
Use of Representative Form if applicable
Common-Law Union Form, if applicable
Marriage Certificate, if applicable
Divorce Certificate, if applicable
Death Certificate if your marital status is widowed
Adoption Certificate if your dependent children are adopted
