6 New Ontario OINP Draws Issue 1,680 Invitations for Permanent Residency

6 New Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program-OINP issued 1,680 invitations to permanent residency in its Foreign Worker, International Student and In-Demand Skills programs.

The most recent OINP draws, which were conducted on October 9, 2025, focused on occupations of priority in healthcare, early childhood education, and regional development, which can be seen as a considerable initiative by Ontario to empower their workforce with intelligent immigration.

Now let us enter into the very particulars of all these rounds of invitations!

Breaking Down The October 9 OINP Draws

Ontario has been working towards an improved strategy of immigration, which is consistent with the economic growth and labour demands.

These rounds included two targeted invitation sets, one of which was healthcare and early childhood educators, and the other one under the Regional Economic Development through Immigration (REDI) program under 3 main streams, amounting to 6 new invitation rounds.

This would make the number of invitations in the Employer Job Offer category in 2025 to exceed 10,000, which is a sure sign that Ontario will be serious about attracting skilled professionals who are already living and working in the province.

How To Apply If You Received An Invitation

Candidates invited under the October 9, 2025 draws must act quickly.

Step 1: Visit the Employer Job Offer stream page, in the category that you are in (Foreign Worker, International Student, or In-Demand Skills) to verify that you are meeting the eligibility requirements.

Step 2: Check the document checklist: make sure that you are ready with all the necessary documents.

Step 3: Within 14 calendar days of the invitation, your employer needs to make an application with regards to the approval of the employment position.

Step 4: You are required to log in to the OINP e-Filing Portal and fill out your application with a 17-calendar days time limit from the date of invitation.

The new application file number (you have JOXX prefix) is now displayed in your OINP profile, and your Expression of Interest file is greyed out, this is normal and is not an error.

All Employer Job Offer applications are required to be submitted in the Employer Portal since July 2, 2025.

Such a step will make the process faster and more transparent and allow OINP to monitor job offers and regional demand.

Before a candidate can apply, employers are compelled to open an account, post job details and are approved.

Candidates are not invited without being registered in an open job offer, which is a reform that makes the regulation more accountable and less prone to fraudulent job offers.

The medical sector and early childhood education still take a hold of OINP targeted draws as the demand of nurses, educators, and healthcare assistants is consistently high, especially in smaller communities of Ontario.

The REDI programme, which was introduced in mid 2024, has now become a critical way of revitalising smaller towns and country areas, where immigration positives are no longer concentrated in Toronto and the GTA.

This round is also highlighted with the fact that Ontario aligns with the federal government on objectives of developing the regions of the country as a way of ensuring that there is sustainable population growth and economic stability in the whole province.

By the end of the fourth quarter of the year 2025, the OINP will be operating selective draws that are aimed at:

Profession of healthcare and education.

Technology and manufacturing industries.

REDI communities under the regional pilot.

As the 2026-2028 Immigration Levels Plan is to be updated, Ontario can get increased PNP investments by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), which will provide the province with greater opportunities to nominate foreign workers and students.
