Ontario has delivered another major wave of provincial immigration activity, issuing a total of 1,231 targeted permanent residency invitations on December 11, 2025, under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).

These region-focused draws covered four major areas: Eastern Ontario, Northern Ontario, Southwestern Ontario, and Central Ontario; basically every region.

These draws continue Ontario’s strategy to match regional labour market needs with qualified talent through targeted selections.

Application Instructions (all streams)

You may apply to one of the Employer Job Offer streams if you received an invitation to apply on December 11, 2025.

To apply:

  • Review the Employer Job Offer stream page corresponding to the stream for which you were invited to apply to determine if you meet the requirements.
  • Review the document checklist to ensure you have the mandatory documents.
  • Your employer must submit the application for the approval of an employment position by midnight on January 6, 2026.
  • Log in to the OINP e-Filing Portal and click the newly created file number with the prefix JOXX. You must submit your application and payment by midnight on January 9, 2026.
  • Your new application file number is different from your EOI file number. The EOI file number will be greyed out; this is not an error.

In case you got an invitation to apply, you do not have to contact the program.

These are specific OINP draws that emphasize further that Ontario is determined to meet the demands of regional labour and also providing new opportunities to qualified applicants living already in Canada.

As the application dates are close, invited applicants are urged to take action and pursue all program requirements, and ensure the journey to permanent residency.

As Ontario is still developing its regional immigration policy, additional attraction programs might be introduced, which will provide the province with more opportunities in major economic fields.

These invitations of December 11 contribute to the increased significance of the role of employer-supported nominations and regional selection in the Canadian future of permanent residency.

The fact that the applicants who received the invitation have now got a great chance to move towards permanent residence is a good move because it is one of the most active and region-specific immigration streams in Ontario.
