How to Apply After Receiving an OINP Invitation

Those who were invited to the current draws have to be quick about filling their application forms.

The employer will be required to study the employer guide and send his/her part of application to the employer within the time span of 14 calendar days.

Once the employer finishes the employer part of the application, the candidates will be required to log in to the OINP e- Filing Portal and make their application payment within 17 calendar days of the invitation date.

Failure to meet the application deadline will mean the invitation will be dropped, thus the candidates are advised to start collecting documents as soon as possible.

What Happens After OINP Nomination

When an Ontario candidate is provided with a provincial nomination certificate, he or she gets 600 more points in the Express Entry Comprehensive Ranking System.

This practically ensures an invitation to apply to permanent residence in a later Express Entry draw.

Alternatively, they can utilize the non-Express Entry paper-based provincial nominee class by which applicants apply but this route is usually lengthy.

OINP applications may take a longer amount of time to be processed, although a candidate can use the e-Filing Portal to monitor the status of his/her application.

Tips to Improve Your Chances in Future OINP Draws

In the case you were not invited in the draws today, there are a few tactics that you could be using to come out better in the forthcoming draws.

An invitation can be considerably reduced by obtaining a job offer in an area other than the GTA.

In-Demand Skills stream has the least cutoffs and is restricted to particular occupations such as home support workers.

You can improve your scores on language to increase your EOI score.

The other option is to get more experience in Canada which adds up to your points in the OINP ranking system.

Make sure you have filled your EOI profile and have it attested in order to take part in the future draws since it should be attested prior to the date of the draw.

The new OINP regulations have given the Minister the power to establish or eliminate OINP selection streams.

The Employer portal which was introduced in July 2025 transformed the streams of the Employer Job Offer to employer-based application.

Applicants are advised to keep an eye on the official OINP updates page where new draw outcomes and the announcement of the program with updated data are announced.

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program is still among the most active nominee programs in Canada.

Ontario was given a higher provincial nomination quota of 2026, which provided more draws and invitations during the year.

Medical, technology, and skilled crafts remain a priority area and there have been consistent draws to these fields.

These March 2026 OINP draws, continue the most trendy invitation rounds commonly found during early 2026.

Those who failed to secure their positions in the present day draws are advised to keep the profile open in the next round of OINP invitations.
